McDonald’s

Super Size Me showed us what McDonald’s French fries look like after 10 weeks (answer: the same).  An anti-obesity advocate takes this further, carrying around a 4 year old burger and 3 year old fries.  Amazing.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IGtDPG4UfI&feature=player_embedded

While we’re on this topic, what about Chicken McNuggets, you ask?  Well, some of the ingredients include:

  • TBHQ: “a petroleum derivative… used as a stabilizer in perfumes, resins, varnishes, and oil field chemicals.”
  • Dimethylpolysiloxane : “a type of silicone… used in caulks and sealants, as a filler for breast implants, and as [a] key ingredient in Silly Putty.”

Other ingredients include things like sodium aluminum phosphate and autolyzed yeast extract (Microsoft Word flags “autolyzed” as it doesn’t even recognize the word).
